XBLA Preview - Commanders: Attack of the Genos

It’s no secret that I LOVE turn-based strategy games, so when I first played this week’s XBLA title Commanders: Attack of the Genos I got a little giddy.
Commanders is a turn-based tactical strategy game supporting 15 single-player campaing missions, 4 player multiplayer over LIVE (2 player local play), and pretty sweet graphics.  It costs 800 ms points, and will be arriving on Wednesday, February 13th.
I had the chance to talk to Terry Coleman a Producer at Sierra Online about the game.  I cannot wait until Wednesday!
Shoutout to Terry Coleman, and Kevin Vlaming over at Sierra Online for all their help. Check out the game’s official website for more details.

Imagine it is the Monday before Thanksgiving.  You’re staring down the barrel of a long holiday weekend, you’ve been denied preorders at every store in town, and your team copy of Rock Band is missing in action.  That is no campfire horror story, but our real life.  Our latest documentary captured the drama as it unfolded.

Epilogue:  After the video was shot (and after many calls and driving adventures), we turned to the highest authorities in the land.  Our significant others found us each a Rock Band bundle.  The moral to the story, never give up hope.  To say this game is awesome is almost an insult to the game experience.  You have to play it to believe it.

Tom Eberspecher article, brought to you using rss feeds. I found it informative and I think you will too.
Here’s some of the article
BioWare has an innovative way to handle talking in Mass Effect with their dialog wheel.  As Jeff Bell explains, we’ve been doing that for a while here at Microsoft, but some folks just haven’t gotten the hang of it.

Mass Effect ships to retailers this Tuesday (November 20th, 2007), although looking at my friends list, apparently some retailers have been selling it for weeks.
