When we shipped the dashboard update in December, we added the ability to enter your name, location and a bio in the dashboard. I am happy to announce that starting today, you can now edit those field on Xbox.com. To add or edit this information, sign in to Xbox.com then go to Manage Profile then click Edit Personal Profile . In case there was any confusion about what Don Mattrick said being unique to Xbox 360 for GTA IV, he was referring to the exclusive episodes that will be on Xbox Live starting Fall 2008. I hope that clears things up.

I’ll admit it: I’m a casual gamer. While I like watching others play the long, intense Xbox games, when I need a break, I’d rather spent 10 minutes with Bejeweled than getting wrapped up in a saga. So I’m excited for this new Xbox Live Arcade game called “Poker Smash” which has just arrived. The game, essentially a match-3 style puzzle game, may not sound like anything special at first, but wait until you see its stunning HD graphics! Talk about nice visuals! Poker Smash also offers single and multiplayer modes in several different formats, including Action mode, Puzzle Mode, Custom Playlist Mode, Practice Mode, Split Screen Head-to-Head Mode, and even Multiplayer Tournament Mode. There are features like super slow motion and card blasting bombs that make this fast-paced game really fly.

Get Lost on Xbox

You can now download the popular ABC TV show “Lost” from the Xbox Live Video Marketplace. Not only can you get the latest episodes as soon as they air, you can also pick up any episode from the previous three seasons, which is very useful for reviewing the prior clues! You can choose to download the show in either standard definition for 160 points ($2) or high def for 240 points ($3). According to saladhats, this actually makes a season of high def cheaper on Xbox Live than on Bluray by about $24! If you aren’t watching “Lost,” then you’ve missed out on one of the best shows on TV, so download the old episodes and get caught up already!

I’m also told that while the European and Canadian Video Stores announced at E3 didn’t launch with the Fall Update, everyone remains committed to launching the service this year, and more information will be released soon.

In addition to the list of new dashboard features that were announced today, there are a few more that were not included in the press release that I think may be of interest to some longtime blog readers. After the update, there will be two new choices in the account management section of the dashboard: The ability to change the Windows LIVE ID associated with and Xbox LIVE account. The description pretty much says it all, but choosing this option changes the Windows Live ID associated with your Xbox LIVE account. It will also transfer all your Microsoft points to the new Windows Live ID as well. Here are some screen shots that show what this looks like in the dash.
