My review of Clint Eastwood's powerful J. EDGAR starring Leonardo DiCaprio in a nuanced performance as FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. A complete 180 degree turn for Eastwood as a director, it's one of the strongest films of the year and includes award-worthy performances from DiCaprio and Armie Hammer, as Clyde Tolson, Hoover's second-in-command. For that reason, I have included it in my Oscar Preview review series this year and look forward to seeing their names in the nominations.

Yeah, little strange. When I was way younger back in the 90's, I was becoming something of a massive movie mogul at such a young age, with a fascination of Hollywood and films of all types. But in the very edge of the 90's and 2000's, I succumbed into the usual age-targeted sludge like everyone else I knew. However, I could think of worst things to be into at that time than something like, say, Digimon. Digimon wasn't the only thing I was into, as you'll see quite soon in future uploads like this, but I was hyped for getting the Digimon "movie" on VHS anyhoo.
