Vantage Point is a film where we are given eight different perspectives of the event of President Ashton’s (William Hurt) assassination by a terrorist group. Some of the perspectives we are shown are from the security staff, a tourist (Forest Whitaker) with his camcorder and even a perspective from the terrorists who are the people behind the assassination. Vantage Point has definately got structure; from the very start we know what will happen next but after each different perspective we see of the assassination, the tale slowly unfolds itself, revealing the audience all the answers to the mysteries behind the event. However, some of the acting and dialogue is really corny and cliched; there is even a scene where woman is having a gun pointed at her and she says with a supposedly evil smile ‘go ahead, shoot me’.
